Israel Gurion (1935-) is an Israeli singer, musician, actor, comedian, director, painter, mime, composer and dancer. One of the most versatile artists working in Israel, and his years on stage span more than six decades. In 1957, Gurion and Benny Amdursky formed The Dudaim (Hadudaim), and continued to perform as a duo for 36 years, until the death of Amdursky in 1994. In 1965, Israel became part of the second incarnation of The Yarkon Trio (along with Amdursky & Arik Einstein), after the depature of Yehoram Gaon. In 2009, Gurion teamed up with Benny's son, Assaf Amduursky and the two began performing with the songs of the Dudiam, releasing 2 albums, Shirat Hadudaim (2013) & Shirat Hadudaim 2 (2018). |
