Sleeve Notes

For two years now, HYLAND PADDY, who themselves in their part of the country, with covers — Ballads, Folk, Traditional and even a bit of Bluegrass.

Gallard at the Rose of Tralee Festival, A bright future is forecast for them, now that they have turned professional.

With the release of this new record, they are hoping to make it the third No. 1 in Ireland for Eric Bogle, whose 'Waltzing Matilda' topped the charts for Clancy and Makem, and likewise The Green Fields of France' for the Furey Brothers and Davy Arthur. Hyland Paddy also released 'Willie McBride', unfortunately, although it had been recorded some delayed, now whether their version would have made it, nobody knows.

The 'B' side is Tommy Makem's Gentle Annie.
