EDDIE FUREY
Eddie, the oldest-member : Group, plays mandolin, fiddle, guitars, ran and
cittern, and he is the Group's lead singer, and a renowned songwriter.
FINBAR FUREY
Finbar is an exceptionally fine Uillean pipes player and loves to
experiment on his favourite instrument. He can also acquit himself well on
tin whistle, flute, guitar and five string banjo.
DAVEY ARTHUR
Irish on his mother's side, Scottish on his father's. Davey hails from
Edinburgh. The youngest member of the Group, he has a fantastic gift for
stringed instruments and plays mandolin, guitar, cittern, dulcimer anil
tenor banjo, on which he has become a master and gives some breathtaking
performances, earning him the title "the String King" by his fellow
musicians.
GEORGE FUREY
George plays tin whistle, accordion, autoharp, bodhràn and bones, but the
instrument he is happiest with is the guitar. He holds the second lead
vocal position in the group and likes to write songs.
PAUL FUREY
Paul, nicknamed the “Spoofer” because of the stones he can make up and
tell, plays whistle and is also regarded as one of the finest
accordionists in the country.
